Fraser Street Stories Official Launch, Sunday May 6th!
![]()
Hello, Neighbours! Please join us Sunday morning outside Starbucks for free coffee and treats. Kids, families welcome! A very special community project "Fraser Street Stories" will have its official launch and we want to celebrate by inviting the Mountain View community.
We are grateful for the support of our local Starbucks and Shoppers Drug Mart for supplying goodies. Official "ribbon cutting" happens at 11:45am. Stay and mix with your neighbours on the sidewalk outside Starbucks.
Where: In front of Starbucks, 4588 Fraser Street @ East 29th Avenue
Date: Sunday, May 6th
Time: 11:30 am - 12:45pm
We are very proud to have the official announcement of our latest community project, the Fraser Street Stories. These historical plaques run up and down Fraser Street at select locations. Each plaque has an image and bit of neighbourhood history, as well as an interactive connection to allow people to comment and "check in" to the location. Our slogan is "Find the plaques to make history".
We'll "unveil" the plaque at Starbucks at 11:45am. Come by to meet your neighbours and join in the celebration!
