A Greenspace in Mountain View

Hello! Welcome to Mountain View. Home of the friendly banners, the ‘friends across fences’, and a lovely little sustainable community.

People ‘round here like to walk places. Some of us buy organics at the farmer’s market. A few folks choose to support local businesses. Others are finding ways to make their homes more energy efficient. And lots of us practice natural lawn and garden care.

In many different ways, we’re all contributing to a healthy and sustainable community.

A number of Mountain View neighbours have pretty strong environmental ethics, but there’s no preaching here. All of us (whether we know it or not) are making small and easy lifestyle choices that will keep our air and our water clean, our kids safe from toxics, and lessen the burden on our environment.

Did you know June is Bike Month? That Environment Week and Clean Air Day happen in the first week of June? Well that’s what I’m here for! To let you know about simple and easy things you can do, as a fellow neighbour in Mountain View (and a fellow inhabitant of our Earth), to make our little community healthy, livable, and desirable.

So why not check back at Greenspace and we’ll be happy to serve you up a little helping of green.

Your Neighbour in the ‘Hood,

Sande Petkau
